The Tomes: January 2009, by the Crazy-mad Writer
It has certainly been a long and bitterly cold winter. Whatever happened to global warming? I was rather looking forward it! I am beginning to think that some people have been pulling the wool over our eyes. Any thoughts on this matter? On a lighter note, I would like to wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year, 2009, and to welcome you to THE TOMES, my newsletter blog.
Over the Christmas period, I took the opportunity of using the free time I found myself with, to give my website a little makeover, adding some extra content here and there, and also brightening up the pages. It’s like a spring clean, but early. I hope you like what I have done. One of the sections enjoying this attention was Nursery Rhymes. I now have a grand selection within it. I think it's also worth mentioning that all of these nursery rhymes have been given a new lease of life and direction in my usual crazy-mad way.
My New Year’s resolution is to crack on with Jimmy and the Glue Factory, and all being well I will have it completed by the end of February. After that, then next thing on my agenda will be to write three short stories, to complete The Tales of Beetle, about. And finally, after that has also been finished, I am hoping to write another three bedtime stories, to add to those already on offer.
Just before Christmas I received the last of the sketches I had commissioned for Alice on Top of the World. I am now actively seeking the services of a good literary agent, with the aim of getting it published before year's end. After all, it is a Christmas story, you know!
Wot, Nott, Kakuri and the HU BA HOU, is the first part in a planned trilogy, featuring the two Outlanders, Wot and Nott.
